When you think of Longchamp, chances are the iconic Le Pliage comes to mind first. Practical, lightweight and endlessly useful, the nylon classic has become synonymous with the French Maison. Yet there’s another side to Longchamp — one that trades packable nylon for supple leather and travel practicality for a little more polish. Enter Le Cadence, the brand’s latest Fall-Winter 2026 handbag line, and, frankly, a very chic reason to look beyond Le Pliage.

At the heart of the Le Cadence line is a pared-back silhouette crafted from full-grain cowhide, with a gently rounded body and an open top that folds over slightly. The flap closure takes its cue from the construction of Le Pliage, reinterpreted here in the same leather as the bag and finished with a Longchamp-engraved magnetic closure. An unlined interior keeps the construction simple and lightweight, while very pale gold-tone hardware adds a subtle finishing touch to the otherwise minimalist design.

The collection is offered in two distinct sizes and styles. The smaller Le Cadence S takes a bucket-bag shape, measuring 7.1 x 9.1 x 4.3 inches. A short fixed strap allows for hand carry, while an adjustable, removable shoulder strap offers the option of crossbody wear. Inside, you’ll find a roomy main compartment, alongside a slip pocket for smaller essentials.

For those looking for something with a little more work-bag appeal, the Le Cadence L measures 11 x 12.2 x 6.7 inches and comfortably accommodates a laptop. Its larger proportions give the bag a naturally slouchier profile, while the adjustable shoulder strap allows for shoulder or crossbody wear.
