Just receiving live updates from Paris. I will share in as much detail as I have from community members at the SALE now.

People began to line up at 10 PM on Tuesday evening —the eve of the public sale opening. There was a private day by invitation only on Tuesday. I presume much like we have here in the United States.

Meet community member @rezakhan who got into line at 8:30 AM this morning. 5 hours later he is only halfway through the line and reports the following:

“There appeared to be buses of tourists arriving at the Palais De Congres. The line is moving extremely slowly and I am only halfway through the line and the line has come to a complete standstill for the last one hour. When we asked security what was going on, they had no additional information for us except that at 8:30 PM the line would be cut off. in other words even if you had been in line for many hours… if you didn’t make it into the doors of the sale at 8:30 you were out of luck. The outside doors to the sale were closed shortly after noon from what we can gather”

From our earlier reports of the first day at the sale, this appears to be the most attended by far. We have reports from another individual that he got into line at 2am and there were already several hundred people in line.

Update: I Just spoke with @rezakhan again who stood in line for a total of 9 hours to get into the sale… he reports the following:

“it was a very long wait, it is definitely my first and last SALE visit in Paris”… to wait 9 hours outside and then wait in individual lines again inside is just crazy. The sale selections were really sparse, low stock of everything… so after all this there really wasn’t anything to write home about, unwarranted waits for a few shawls, enamel bracelets for gifts, sweaters and towels. Yes that’s it.

I felt I was in a prison camp with the security guards constantly yelling at the clients to stand strait in line, squeeze together etc. they were so rude and awful. The Hermes staff was great, but the security was just terrible once inside.

What we scored:
2 shoes for myself: land boots & mambo platforms
3 for my hubby
RTW for both of us including ties for him. I bought two black dresses and a black top.
Argent CDC belt for myself .
I did not buy scarves this time and although tons of home goods I skipped them.

    The silver CDC belt is TDF. You are very lucky to have scored this piece. Just the savings on this one piece pays for a trip to Paris!

  • hey smarshall, i believe they stayed at sofitel st.honoré. its the nearest hotel to hermes fsh. its a really nice hotel with reasonable price.

This time there was a que to look at women’s shoes and a time limit of 10 minutes. No line or time limit for mens shoes.
More RTW than I remember from last time and no jewelry at all. The jewelry area was used for belts this time. There were lots of CDC belts in different colors but no black. Lots of mens belts, some reversible but no belt kits. Several croc CDC belts. There was no time limit to look at belts.

Just received an extensive update from dear friend Chi town Chanel that attended the Paris Hèrmes sale earlier today. She texted me photographs and explained that it was quite similar to the sale we attended together in Jan 2016.

Today Chi town Chanel shares her experience as follows: I quote her directly…

It’s a rainy day here in Paris. We reached Le Palais de Congress and were in line at about 8:00 am this am. This is Day 2 of the sale. I would estimate about 200 people in front of us and 50 or more behind us.

The procedure was only slightly different from my last visit (read: Hermès On Sale? https://www.pursebop.com/hermes-on-sale/). This time they started to let us through security and fill out slip well before 9 am and then formed a second line inside of sale hallway.

San Francisco Hermes store sale:

The sale will be from June 7th to June 10th.

June 7th will be private appointments only till 1pm. It will open to the public after 1pm through the end of the sale.

The sale will be held at the original Hermès store address:

A web search revealed that the Paris Summer 2016 sale begins June 22. The Hermes sale at the Palais Congres will probably start either June 22 or 29. The date will not be confirmed by Hermes for a few more months. Let’s hope the dollar stays strong and Hermes does not universalize their prices. Same prices world wide)

When and where will the sale be in July ? Do we need any invitations or are they open to public ? what is the best timing to go to the sales in July ? Thanks alot !

    I answer these questions and have others comments/quotes that I share in the articles. We went on the third day. It all depends how long you can tolerate waiting in line? Some people stood 4-5 hours before the sales too :)

wowwwzaaa!!! H sale, awesome!!! are the discounts good? Was there Oran sandals on sale (I LOVE the Orans)? if there were shoes in general, was the size variety big? (usually when I see a good sale, all shoes size EU38- US7.5, my size, are already gone and I´m frustrated :/ )… hope you ladies found many goodies at great prices!!! ;)

Wow, I had no idea that there was an Hermes sale! What a great find!
Do you know when the one in July is?
Do the products you purchase, such as scarves and jewellery, come in orange boxes?
What was the wallet and handbag selection like?

    No the smaller items do not have boxes. There were not for jewelry, scarves, shawls etc. I share this detail in the article.
    I believe shoes/boots had the boxes though. There are never any bags and there were not any small leather goods like wallets either.
    I’ll keep you posted on the July sale date once released here.

So many questions to ask! How were the selections, mostly scarves or bags too? What other things were available for purchase? Were there any men collections? How long r the lines, was the hassle worth the savings? Did u get an invite or open to the public? How did u find out about the date and place of sale?
