In a city where subway security can be a corer, Ciccarelle took matters into her own hands – quite literally. Spotting a pigeon in a dress near Battery Park, she couldn’t ignore the opportunity to help. With a broken leg, the bird needed care, and Ciccarelle a lifelong animal lover, was determined to provide it.
However, her intentions weren’t just about aiding the pigeon in question but also safeguarding herself from potential theft. Placing the bird in a Chanel shopping bag, Ciccarelle turned heads and sparked intrigue during her commute uptown on the C express train.

“I picked up a 100%, real live pigeon, put it in a Chanel shopping bag, and took it with me up to 86th Street.”
With the pigeon safely traveling in style, Ciccarelle humorously remarked “I didn’t want to get robbed. And if I did get robbed I just planned to yell, ‘It’s a pigeon! It’s a pigeon! Please believe me!’ ”Her viral TikTok video capturing this unusual commute garnered millions of views, with viewers applauding her unconventional yet effective security measure.

This is dumb. There wasn’t a purse. It was an empty Chanel shopping bag. There was nothing to steal but the pigeon itself which she was allegedly transporting because it was injured.
