The Goyard Tote Price Guide 2024: USA vs Europe vs UK

Renowned for exclusivity and coveted designs – Goyard takes the spotlight, with its limited boutiques and stock availability, products can be hard to obtain. This heritage French brand’s journey traces back to 1792, and officially establishing itself in 1853, with a focus on trunk-making, box-making, and packing. Today, this ultra-elusive fashion house is renowned for its iconic tote bags. These versatile totes can be used for any occasion – travel, errands, or simply to keep things looking effortlessly chic.

But what sets Goyard apart from its competition is the deliberate choice to remain low-key. In a world dominated and driven by online sales and advertising, Goyard takes a different path of understated luxury. Its laid-back approach excludes active advertising and e-commerce, and extends to limited points of sale. Surprisingly, there are only a select few Goyard boutiques, and products cannot be purchased online. Yet, this distinctive approach has only heightened the brand’s desirability.

Thankfully, Goyard has altered its pricing strategy in recent years. Previously Goyard special colors used to be priced higher. Now, however, most colorways (excluding some editions like the Clair-Voie), bear the same price tag.

In 2024, Goyard has witnessed overall price adjustments, with increases observed in Europe, the UK, and the United States. However, the brand’s recent pricing strategy differs this year. . . Remarkably, some Goyard totes in the US have seen a price adjustment downward, defying the conventional upward trend. Could this perhaps suggest that Goyard is actively adapting its pricing to meet the demands of its global clientele?

In this price guide, we delve into the details of Goyard’s most coveted tote bags – the Artois, Anjou, and Saint Louis. We explore the current pricing of these timeless totes in the United States, Europe, and the United Kingdom.

The Saint Louis

Arguably Goyard’s most classic bag, the Saint Louis, named after King Louis IX of France, remains one of its most highly coveted and iconic totes. Whether you intend to use your Saint Louis for travel, beach days, or a city-friendly catch-all – this is ‘The Tote of All Totes’.

ToteDimensions (W X H X D in)Price (USD)Price (GBP)Price (EUR)
Saint Louis PM11" x 19" x 6"$1,710£1,270€1,450
Saint Louis GM13" x 23" x 7"$1,890£1,405€1,600

The exterior is crafted in lightweight Goyardine canvas, while the interior is a woven linen cotton blend. Conveniently, this tote is actually reversible – so you get the best of both worlds. Each bag includes a matching detachable pouch with a snap closure, making it easy to organize your belongings. Durable Chevroches calfskin top handles complete this bag, so you can easily carry it on the shoulder, by the top handle, or in the crook of the arm. You’ll find the Saint Louis available in two sizes and various striking colorways.

The Anjou

Taking its name from Charles IX of Anjou (brother of Louis IX of France), this luxurious open-top tote is crafted from the iconic Goyardine canvas, but it is finished with a slightly grained Chevroches calfskin leather interior. Once again, this tote is fully reversible and can be worn inside out. Known as the ‘little brother’ of the Saint Louis, the shape mirrors that of the iconic tote, however, the leather interior adds structure.

With regards to pricing, surprisingly the Anjou witnessed a shift in pricing dynamics within the United States in 2024. Undergoing a deliberate ‘price adjustment’, the Anjou collection now carries a recalibrated pricing structure, and the style has experienced a slight reduction since 2023. If there ever was a time to purchase an Anjou tote in the US, it’s now!

ToteDimensions (W X H X D in)Price (USD)Price (GBP)Price (EUR)
Anjou Mini8" x 8" x 4"$2,420£1,800€2,050
Anjou PM11" x 19" x 6"$2,780£2,060€2,350
Anjou GM13" x 23" x 7"$3,130£2,325€2,650

You can find the Anjou bag in three different sizes – mini, small, and large. Much like Saint Louis, each size Anjou tote comes complete with a matching detachable pouch. The Anjou features Chevroches calfskin top handles which are ever so slightly thicker than Saint Louis’ – making this a comfortable shoulder bag for everyday wear. However, it is a little heavier due to its leather interior. Chic and functional, what’s not to love?

The Artois

For anyone seeking a zipper-top closed tote, Goyard has you covered with its Artois – named after Robert 1st d’Artois (brother of King Louis IX of France). This tote is largely a structured version of the much-loved Saint Louis. With a zippered closure, the Artois is different from other Goyard totes in that it provides additional security.

ToteDimensions (W X H X D in)Price (USD)Price (GBP)Price (EUR)
Artois PM9.5" x 12" x 5.25"$2,270£1,755€2,000
Artois MM11" x 14.5" x 6.25"$2,540£1,930€2,200

While the Artois certainly resembles the Saint Louis, you’ll find plenty of additional ‘upgraded’ touches. The Artois features leather corners for structure and durability, and of course, the welcome addition of the zip. These extras make this tote stand out from the rest. The straps on the Artois tote are ever so slightly longer in length, allowing the bag to easily and comfortably be worn over the shoulder. As always with Goyard, the fine details are what counts – the top handles are attached with contrasting red stitching, a detail usually reserved for special order trunk handles. The Artois is currently available in two sizes, the PM and MM.

Where is the best place to purchase Goyard?

Time for Handbag Math.

Recent developments at Goyard in 2024 have ushered in a notable price adjustment. Across the board, prices are finding a new equilibrium. Interestingly, the Anjou tote, in particular, has seen a unique shift in pricing dynamics. While prices have decreased in the United States, presenting an opportune moment for American shoppers, the Anjou has experienced an increase in other regions.

As it stands, if you are lucky enough to be traveling to Paris, the allure of Goyard becomes even more irresistible. Not only will you be able to explore the beautiful collections, but you’ll also enjoy some savings of up to 9% for some tote bag styles. While it’s certainly not as notable as previous years’ savings, it’s still certainly worthwhile.
