Tips & Tricks for Fall Shopping

So you know what’s hot and trending right now, but how do you incorporate these items into your own collection? Read our tips and tricks below.

#1 Be open to experimenting! If something scares you because it’s too bright or bold you might need to try it…

#2 Master Your Neutrals. PurseBop has been on the quest for a neutral bag because they really are the basis of your collection. Learn more about neutrals from BopTalk celebrity @Kugzz: The Perfect Neutral-ista.

#3 Don’t forget about color. Get at least one thing in a dark, vampy color like burgundy, emerald green, or a dark brown. These colors tend to be super rich and vibrant, and will instantly put you in the Fall mood.

#4 Cover all your bases size-wise. As we’ve stated in our Q&A “Don’t Get Rid of Your Larger Bags Just Yet“, bag sizes are cyclical.  For this season, make sure you have a fabulous mini bag, a solid everyday bag, and a carry it all tote to fulfill all your needs!

#5 Out with the old, in with the new! Try throwing away a couple of pieces that have served their time or that you haven’t reached for in awhile. This will help you get a better idea of what you really need. You’ll also be able to work more productively with the things you already have.

#6 Before you buy, do some reflection! After going through your wardrobe, take a minute to define your own style to yourself. Writing a few words down in a notebook may help. You may think you know what you like, but narrowing down your preferences and having a better understanding of your style will prevent you from making impulse purchases.

  • Though I think velvet is beautiful, I´m a little hesitante about it, I think it´s fragile and consequently the bag/shoe longevity is compromised…if I´m to buy something expensive, I believe it has to last forever hehe but it really is gorgeous ;)
